Ash School Races

Once again Adam organised the Ash Excellent Eight and Fearsome 5 races along with a Fun Run. Also a Somerset Series Race the Excellent Eight has loads of Green and Whites. Lewis Bagon was the first over the line for the Club with Sonia Chant our first lady.

Bridgewater Half

Today saw the Burnham Half marathon and a few Green and Whites with Paul Card coming in 16th place and first Club member over the line. Helen Nesbitt was our first lady over the line. The Full Results can be seen here.

Black Hugin 

Paul Allen and I went down to Kent on Saturday fr the Black Hugin Marathon, it was 8 laps around Pegwell Bay National Nature Reserve passing a Viking Ship.

It did not start till 5 pm and with rain forecast for about 8 the faster the better, it also got dark around 7:45 so you needed a head torch as well. The rain held off with just the odd shower and we manged to finish our 8 laps and get back to the Prem Inn for a meal, Stellar and Red. As with all SVN event a nice medal and goodie bag.

Ring o Fire

Well done to Dave Tilsley and John Hayden of running the Ring o Fire this weekend.  Ring O’ Fire is an annual 135 mile coastal ultra marathon circumnavigating the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales over 3 days.

Dave is still going as I write this and Dave DNF'd after day two, great effort from both of you.
